Pre-school


Ladybird Pre-school provides each child with a fun filled and educational experience each day. The curriculum is devised incorporating  the Montessori method and the Play Based curriculum to ensure each child’s preferred learning style is catered for.

A key-worker system is operated throughout the year to encourage each child to reach their full potential.

A unique service of providing parents with a weekly report detailing the week’s activities and including a comment section along with a twice yearly developmental assessment carried out on each child to encourage collaboration with parents and addressing each child’s individual needs and ensuring they are accommodated.

This approach has proved to be highly effective and successful within Ladybird pre-school.



The pre-school in Ladybird is  registered for the ‘free pre-school year however our hours of 9am-12.30pm will remain the same at no extra cost to illustrate our dedication and commitment to the provision of quality childcare and education in the early years.



Toddler room




The toddler room in Ladybird caters for 12 children at any one time and provides an abundance of stimulating and exciting activities to promote all areas of development and in particular encourages speech and language progression and social interaction skills.

The range of activities available each day are carefully chosen to compliment each child’s capabilities and needs. This is working very well in relation to the overall development f each child attending the setting.







Baby Room




The baby room caters for 6 babies at one time and provides a safe and fully equipped environment to promote the progression of each developmental milestone babies experience. Stimulating and age appropriate activities such as the treasure basket, water play, painting and music and movement take place each day in the baby room.





There is 2 cozy sleep rooms within the setting to provide an appropriate rest environment and a relaxing atmosphere for the babies and toddlers who require sleep sessions during the day.





Afterschool




Ladybird provides a collection service from all the local primary schools with ages ranging from 4/5 to 12 years. The afternoon antics that are provided in the after school are age appropriate, exciting and stimulating to the school age children. With ongoing activities including music classes, pottery, computers, arts and crafts, drama the fun never stops. There is also two large outdoor areas with one catering for activities such as go-Karts, bicycles, chalk drawing, basketball, tennis and the other equipped with a large trampoline, swings, a climbing frame, sand pit and equipment to construct obstacle courses, tents and much more.

As if that wasn’t enough, Ladybird after school club also go on outings from time to time. For example, we recently went to ‘pet mania’ in Waterford to see all the different animals and learn about them which was a lot of fun.


Summer camp

 

Every summer Ladybird run a summer camp and this year is no different. The summer camp will run from 6th July for six consecutive weeks. This year is set to be the best one yet with activities such as water days, barbeques, bouncy castles, team sports, discos, face painting, drama, clay modeling, jewellery making and lots more in the pipeline ,it’s going to be great!!
